You will receive an email from us to select how you prefer your 1:1 advising session. You will have the choice of either WebEx or @uconn.edu email. All UConn students have access to the WebEx platform using your UConn NetID and password.
Make sure that you have completed the following from the New Student Task List:
- Complete steps 1, 2 & 3 of the New Student Tech Training Site
- First Year Writing Placement for International students only – complete the English Guided Placement Survey
- First Year Writing Placement for local students, your placement in first year writing is based on your standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) described in the first year writing placement guidelines.
- The Math Placement Exam (MPE) and the Chemistry Placement Exam (CPE) are not required for student in the School of Fine Arts. If you plan to enroll in either pre-calculus or calculus – then you must take the MPE. . If you plan to enroll in General Chemistry (CHEM 1124, 1127 or 1128) – then you must take the CPE.
Earning course credit via the College Board AP Exams
You may have already earned course credits that can apply to your UConn degree. Check your CEEB account to make sure that you have sent all of your AP scores to UConn (spring 2018, spring 2019 and spring 2020 exams) see appended attachment.
Earning course credit through concurrent enrollment programs
If you earned college credits while in high school through a local college or university, you should request that an official transcript from that institution be sent directly to: University of Connecticut Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 2131 Hillside Road Unit 3088, Storrs CT 06269-3088.
Earning credit through the UConn Early College Experience (ECE) Program
The School of Fine Arts has access to view these courses. You can discuss the applicability of these credits during your upcoming advising appointment.
