Committee on Curricula & Courses

About the Committee

The Committee on Curricula and Courses is composed of two representatives from each of the four departments in the School of Fine Arts. The Committee meets regularly to review and consider for approval proposed changes to the School’s undergraduate academic programs and courses. This includes the addition and removal of courses; changes to courses, concentrations, and curricular plans of study; and the creation and modification of majors and minors.

Meeting Dates

2021 – 2022 Meeting Dates

All SFA C&CC meetings are held on Fridays, 11 a.m  – 1 p.m. via Zoom, unless otherwise noted.

Proposals must be received at least one week in advance of the SFA C&CC meeting.

  • October 22 (proposals due Oct. 15)
  • November 12 (proposals due Nov. 5)
  • December 3 (proposals due Nov. 26)
  • December 10 – (proposals due Dee. 3)
  • TENTATIVE December 17 (proposals due Dec. 10)

Catalog Deadlines

Undergraduate Catalog Changes: February 5

Graduate Catalog Changes: March 1

Proposals for courses and academic programs fully approved by these deadlines will be included in the 2021-22 edition of the relevant catalog. As approved proposals are processed, updated proofs of each catalog will be made available on the Undergraduate Catalog Proofs and Graduate Catalog Proofs pages.
